Inveraray Castle, Edinburgh Christmas Market and Pollok Park
This year, ResLife has given students the opportunity to explore some of Scotland’s most popular destinations while meeting new people and creating lasting memories.
A highlight was the visit to Inveraray Castle, where students discovered the history of one of Scotland’s most iconic castles and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of the Highlands.
The picturesque view, the castle and its history. Everything felt so magical even the route from the Glasgow to the Castle was mesmerizing.
Another popular trip took students to Edinburgh, where they explored historic streets, visited famous landmarks, and experienced the vibrant atmosphere of Scotland’s capital city.
The Christmas Market atmosphere was wonderful, the ResLife team were friendly and welcoming, and seeing Edinburgh’s landmarks was truly amazing. I can honestly say this was the best event for me since joining the university this year. I’m very grateful for such an incredible trip.
Students also spent time at Pollok Country Park, enjoying scenic walks, spotting the famous Highland cattle, and taking a break from university life in one of Glasgow’s largest green spaces.
I really enjoyed the trip to Pollok Park. It was a lovely opportunity to walk around the park, visit the museum, watch and feed the Scottish cows, and learn more about the area. I also enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends during the trip.
These trips have helped students build friendships, experience Scottish culture, and make the most of their time at university through fun and engaging adventures across the country.
