Welcome to Student Apartments - Your Glasgow Home!

We are delighted that Student Apartments will be your Glasgow home and we look forward to welcoming you to the residence. Your address, which includes the flat and room number, will be issued to you on arrival.

It is helpful for us to know when you plan to arrive. Please email us at studentapartments@glasgow.ac.uk with your planned date and estimated time of arrival. We will confirm by email that we have noted these details and will provide key collection instructions.

Collection of keys

The Student Apartments' Office at 0/1 (Ground Left), 89 Gibson Street, Glasgow, G12 8LD is normally open Monday to Friday 0830 - 1230hrs and 1330 - 1600hrs

PHOTO IDENTIFICATION will be required to collect your keys.

Keys will be available 1200 (noon) on Friday 11 September 2026. Outside office hours, keys can be collected from the Main Gatehouse, University Avenue, Glasgow, G12 8QQ which is open 24 hours.

On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, the Student Apartments' Office will be open by appointment for key collections. If you are arrive when the office is closed please collect your keys from the Main Gatehouse.

Important Notes for Move-in Day

1. Metered parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of Student Apartments can be busy. We recommend that someone stays in the car while keys are being collected or luggage is being dropped off. Cars can then be moved to the car park at Southpark House, 64 Southpark Avenue. There is metered parking on Southpark Avenue, University Avenue and at Lilybank car park at the bottom of Great George Street. On-street parking is chargeable!

2. We do not supply kitchen equipment, bedding, bed linen or towels. You will find details of suggested retailers here.

E-Induction

Prior to your arrival, please complete the mandatory online E-induction which can be found in the accommodation online portal. In the E-induction you’ll find out about many aspects of residence life including fire safety and student welfare. You’ll also be able to print your Arrival Pass which you can use when checking in.

Internet

In our residence, the Wi-Fi is provided by our partners Glide. Find out how to get logged in with our Quick start guide to Glide Internet and Wi-Fi.

If you ever need support with your Wi-Fi you can also download the Glide App from your App Store.
